Sarah has been the one to keep this blog up and running, but now it is my turn for a little bit. As crazy as it still seems, Elora Nicole Morrow was born last night, Tuesday May 10th at 9:30 pm or so. We made it to 26.5 weeks and she was 1 lb 7 ounces at delivery. She is small but a fighter already...you should have seen her little legs flying all over the place. Initial observations and tests show that she is off to a great start. The next few weeks are critical still, but we are glad that she is being taken care of by very capable hands...the hands of the doctors and nurses at Children's Hospital and the hands of the One who holds us all together.
Sarah is also on the road to recovery from the c-section. Today is the first day so we are expecting soreness, a good amount of pain killers, and hopefully a trip over to the NICU to see Elora. Sarah's just seen her so far on a tv screen, so we're hoping for our first family reunion today!
As I look back, in remembering when we first found out that Sarah was pregnant, we had a certain idea about what we thought this experience and process would be like. We are still working through how different reality turned out to be. Thank you to all of you who have been praying for us and supporting us throughout this whole whirlwind. It means so much and gives us strength and endurance to face the long road ahead.
I'm behind on reading but I hope you guys feel our support and prayer from afar. I'm praying HARD for your sweet Elora!
