Notice the "weight" on her white board - 3 pounds!
The biggest event of the weekend was Elora getting her first bath. We took bets on whether or not she would like it or freak out. Sarah, my Mom and the nurse guessed that she would freak out and I thought she would like it. I guess daddy knows his little girl best! :) Elora cried for a second when they first put her in, but after the initial squeak, she totally chilled out. She looked around a lot with a "what is happening to me" expression, but she stayed calm. Sarah and the nurse actually did the bathing and said that Elora deserved to enjoy a spa day just like anyone else. I even gave her a little foot massage at the end, which she seemed to like.

All in all, it was a really good weekend. Going forward, we are still keeping track of her breathing support, steadily increasing feedings, and will continue to monitor her brain and eyes. Regarding her brain, the doctor elaborated a bit more today that in the scans she is showing a little bit of "peppering" in the region of her brain most impacted by the bleeding. This means there are little dots showing in the scan. Good news is that this isn't a major obstruction/damage to the brain and the side of the body this peppering would impact through impaired fine motor skills doesn't appear to have any issues that we can tell. So, we will continue to monitor that and pray that there would either be complete healing there or that her brain would "re-wire" itself around any area that isn't 100%.

I love love love love the updates! I am so excited to hold her!!!!
