We have some good news to share!
Many of you have been praying specifically for Elora's brain bleed. Yesterday, they ran an ultrasound on her head which indicated some of the bleeding has gone away! The ventricles (chambers in her brain where the blood was pooling) have become smaller. This is a HUGE HUGE answer to prayer and we want to give God all the glory. We get so nervous each time they do these ultrasounds- and so getting good news like this uplifted our hearts and strengthened our faith in a way that we really needed right now.
Soooo...we encourage you to say a prayer of praise today and thank God for his healing hand upon our baby girl. Please continue to pray that the bleeding continues to drain out of her brain.
Continue to pray for her digestive track. After her surgery, we thought everything would be fine and she would starting "going" on her own, which has not been the case. Her doctor & surgeons are meeting with a Pediatric Gastro-Intestinal specialist to discuss how to move forward. Pray for God's healing hand and wisdom for these amazing doctors.
Praise God! That is such wonderful news! Rejoicing with you tonight in this victory! Continuing to pray for sweet Elora and her digestive system. Can't wait to meet her some day.
ReplyDeleteYay! God is so good. We'll keep praying for Elora to get things going.
ReplyDeleteAgain, I am praying for your precious daughter, Elora. (I was the one referred by our mutual friend Katie K.) I am praying for continued healing and growth.
ReplyDeleteMy son, Samuel, was just at Childrens Minneapolis on May 26 for a repeat biopsy with some of the Pediatric GI Doctors (Samuel has Celiac Disease -- he's 20 months). The GI Doctors that I've worked with have been wonderful. I tell you that to encourage you.
And, I too, have prayed for a child of mine to have a bowel movement (that would be Samuel). As a parent we are often found on our knees for those things that could be taken for granted.
I will continue to pray.
