Happy Birthday, Elora Nicole!
She is definitely no longer my little baby. Sometimes she hardly even seems like a toddler anymore! She chats and uses phrases like she is a teenager, it cracks me up! She has even told me that "I am very, very mad at you mom". Haha! What?! She has very sweet moments where she wants to cuddle up, read books, and hold our hands. Those are the moments I live for.
When I think back to a year ago, she has come so very far. She had just learned how to walk prior to her 2nd birthday. Now she is running, jumping, climbing, hopping, and she never stops moving! She is even learning to ride a bike.
She is much more adventurous in general and loves being outdoors. At her core she is still a more hesitant child, but more and more I am surprised at what she will do, try, and become comfortable with quickly.
Some information about Elora at three years old!
1) She LOVES to sing (just like daddy!). She picks up on lyrics and rhythms easily and even makes up her own words to songs. She has been known to sing NOT STOP at FULL VOICE for 45-60 minutes in her room when she is supposed to be napping. I can't believe she doesn't go hoarse!
2) Physically she is growing slowly but steadily. She weights about 25 (this is a guess - she doesn't have her wellness visit until the end of May). She usually wears size 24 month clothes, but it just starting to wear 2T size clothes and size 6 shoes. Pants that fit are hard to find. She needs about a size 12-18 months waist, but size 2T length. Good luck finding a pair of pants like that!
3) She knows the alphabet and is particularly drawn to letters. She spells out the words in books, on billboards, or wherever she sees a sign or anything with words on it!
4) She is not potty-trained, but we are working on it!
5) She is an amazing eater! Outside of the occasional chew-it-and-spit-it out moments, she is willing to try anything and you wouldn't believe the quantity of food that little body can take it. We are grateful!
