HIGHLIGHTS
1. Today her feeding tube was removed! She is taking all her feedings by mouth! She is doing a rock star job eating about 2.5 ounces every 3-4 hours. We thought this day would never come...and oh, it is sweet :)
2. Her hernia surgery most likely will be this week Wednesday. We don't know what time yet - but would appreciate your prayers. Supposedly the recovery is very short - but at the same she may be a little out of sorts for a day or two afterwards. So, we will both be with her all day on Wednesday and I (Sarah) may possibly spend the night with her as well.
3.) She has an eye appointment on Monday (12th). If the eye doctor gives the thumbs up that all is still well with her eyes - that will give us he green light for bringing her home!
4.) Once we have the green light to bring her home, we will have to go through CPR training, oxygen tank training, have a car seat check, do discharge paperwork, and gets lots of miscellaneous information, etc. So, it will be a busy few days before bringing her home!
Wow, you guys. After 4 months, our little girl is finally coming home. We honestly can't even comprehend that she will be with us ... in OUR care..in OUR house..wow. We are so thankful she has come this far and been healed in so many ways. We are looking so forward to having her home. It's scary and exciting all wrapped up into one little package. Bring it on!
