Last week was a big week! We had so much fun sharing the news with everyone that we are having a baby girl. Experiencing people sharing in our excitement has been such a blessing! Now that we know the gender, we are starting to plan out the nursery. We ordered a crib over the weekend (picture above). We are now on the hunt for bedding and all the other decor to match. If anyone has any suggestions of where they found cute affordable crib bedding - let me know! Lately, when people ask me how I am feeling - my answer is that I feel this is the "peak" of the pregnancy. I feel great, have energy, don't feel sick, and can still touch my toes! I can feel the baby move each day and overall I feel great. If only all of pregnancy was like this! The concept of parenthood is seeming a little less abstract now. I tend to notice more and more what my friends..or even people are Target..are doing to take care of their kids. I love babies and feel very comfortable with them and taking care of them. But, I have no concept of what taking care of a baby 24/7 is like or what it's like to nurse a baby, wake up at 2 AM to take care of a baby, or change what feels like hundreds of diapers a day! I know we are in for some hard times but equally rewarding times, too. Can't wait for baby girl to be here! Over half way there!

21 Weeks

ReplyDeleteI adored this one red, yellow & brown bedding I found for my sister...a week later I noticed that baby Kensie Olsen had the same linens. Great minds think alike! I can't find the name of the company right now (they had tons of cute stuff online) but I'm sure you could ask Erin :)
