14 Weeks

In certain ways..it's already flying! I can't believe I'm at 14 weeks already (3.5 months for those of you who don't like the counting- in- weeks thing!)

I thought I was getting past the queasiness, but then I threw up last week for the first time! I let myself go too long without eating...BIG mistake, lesson learned. However, I can tell my energy level is up and I am just loving watching my little baby belly grow. Most days I feel good. I get the occasional lower back ache, but can't complain too much!

I had a doctor's appointment last week and everything was just fine. We met the doctor who could potentially deliver our baby, so that was fun! We listened to the heartbeat & just chatted about how things were going, vitamins, health history, diet, etc.

Peter and I have been listening to the heartbeat at home a few days a week with our "BabyBeat" heatbeat Doppler (picture below), which is so fun! It amazes me such a little baby can have a heartbeat that fast! It really is a miracle.

  2. Sarah and Peter,
I am SO EXCITED for the both of you. I know that Carol is very excited to be a "grandma" although, of course, she's too young to be one! HA! I just love your blog, the pictures and what is developing now. As you may know, Jamie and Dave have a little girl - Mackenzie - who is 15 months old today. Jamie would call me every day and tell me what was developing that day. It is SUCH a great experience and MIRACLE!! God bless you both and, of course, your little peanut!! I look forward to reading your updates! Take care.
