Peter and I are very excited to announce that we are expecting a baby!
Baby Morrow is due in August 2011. We found out that I was pregnant a few days after Thanksgiving, so as you can imagine it feels great to finally be sharing our news with everyone we know! Woot! Woot!
Baby Morrow will be the first grandchild on my side of the family and the third grandchild on Peter's side. We are planning to find out the gender-which will happen in late March. Any inklings anyone?!
The question I always get asked is how I am feeling. The good news is I feel great (now!). I had a rough patch from weeks 6-10 where I was exhausted, exhausted, exhausted. I felt like all I did was sleep. I had a queasy stomach almost every morning and especially at night. I ate all the time, since that was the only thing that made me feel better (and saw it on the scale...yikes!). I even ate in the middle of the night to feel better. Peter awoke many nights to the crunch, crunch of an apple or trail mix. Lucky guy :)
I rented a heartbeat doppler, which allows us to hear the baby's heartbeat whenever we want to at home. It really is amazing! We haven't really done any shopping or researching baby carseats, strollers, bedding, etc. We are still in the "wow..pregnancy...whoa....cool" phase. But, I'm sure we'll kick into planning phase soon enough here.
I plan to post weekly updates to this blog - so check back often for more pics, life updates, and more!
Just so you know, I have been checking your Facebook page for the last week so that I can spread the news virtually. I guess this is as close as I can come for now. World, I am going to be an auntie!!
