Turning 29 (again!)

My birthday was a few weeks ago and I turned 29 again. Funny how that works (wink!).  Peter was travelling overseas for work over my actual birthday, so he and I went out the week prior for a lovely dinner date to one of my fave restaurants here in the Twin Cities.

Some girlfriends took me out for dinner (always love girl time!).  We ate pasta and had a great time catching up.

Last but not least - on my actual birthday my parents had us over for a nice birthday dinner.  I requested build-your-own calzones and my dad went all out with the toppings!

I can tell I am getting older because one of my favorite parts of my birthday was when I put Elora down for bed (Peter was gone & my parents were watching her) and I browsed TJMaxx for 1.5 hrs by myself. It was wonderful! 

This past year really was great. The prior two years held some of the most difficult, trying, and painful moments of my life.  This last year was fairly smooth, light-hearted, and stable.  What a gift from God. I am looking forward to the year ahead!  I think some great things are in store!
