Turning Two - The Celebrations

Last year we did the FULL.ON. BIG birthday party for Elora. I'm so glad we did - but vowed to do it smaller when it came time to celebrate year two. Although it was indeed smaller, we still had several celebrations that were all so much fun.

Celebration #1
We started off the week with a birthday celebration with Peter's parents. We ate pizza, had cupcakes, played outside, and opened presents. Who could ask for more?

Present time!

I fit in the box of my new lawn mower!

I'm TWO!

Taking a walk with my bucket of chalk with Nana

Celebration #2
Elora had a few church nursery friends over for lunch (plus their siblings and moms). It was a gorgeous day out and exciting for me to host her first "friends party".  We ate pizza, played outside, ate cake pops and there were even favor bags for the kids to take home. I am not sure who had more fun - me or El!

play time!

friends!

Presents for me?!

The four amigas!

Yes! Birthday party success!

Celebration #3
On Elora's actual birthday we were travelling to SW Minnesota for my cousin's wedding. Although we spent much of the day in the car, we still celebrated! Elora visited a farm for the first time, opened presents, and had a special cake/cupcakes dessert with her name on it!

Here comes the sugar!

First time seeing REAL cows (...or "tawhs" as she says)

Playin' in the hay with her cuz
Becca with the babes on the farm

she LOVED the farm cats and dogs - even the cat whose tail was almost chewed off, gulp
