Five Year Wedding Anniversary

FIVE YEARS!

On December 30 Peter and I celebrated our five year anniversary! And we still love (and even like!) each other. Phew!

As mentioned in a previous post, we were able to get away for a celebration vacation in November in Miami. We enjoyed time away just the two of us. It was a fantastic time to connect as a couple and celebrate these last five blessed years together.

I started thinking the other day about how many things we have done together and places we have been so fortunate to travel to during our marriage.

Here are a few highlights of our last 5 years together!!

1. Travel together since we were married: Washington DC, Costa Rica, Florida (thrice), Mexico (twice), Austria, Italy, Las Vegas, lots of trips to Chicago and Indiana (where we have family), and probably more that I am missing.
2. We got a cat (April 2008) who we gave away (Spring 2011)
3. We sold our first house together (Dec 2009)
4. We lived with my parents for 5 months (Dec - May 2010)
5. We bought and moved into our Minnetonka house (May 2010)
6. We entered our 30's!
7. We welcomed our first baby! (May 2011)
8. Since we've been married, Peter has had two different jobs and I have had (gulp) 6 different jobs
9. Both my parents have retired
10. We welcomed a new nephew to the family when Peter's brother got remarried (January 2012) and a new niece was born to my sister Sept 2012

As we enter 2013 and our 6th year of marriage together, we look forward to new memories, travels, struggles, excitement, ways to love each other better, and becoming better parents together.
