24 Weeks

Six months pregnant today - can you believe it!? I can't...

I've reached the point where people can obviously tell that I am pregnant. I see their eyes move like an elevator down my body to do a quick scan of the belly to confirm...and then they quickly look up because they know its rude to stare and don't want to make it obvious that they are noticing a pregnant belly. But, I catch 'em! :)

We picked out fabric last week for the nursery. Peter and I were in Crafty Planet for what felt like FOREVER, but finally came to a decision on 3 fabrics that we are super happy about! They will be made to go into a blanket, pillow cover, and curtains (lots of pink, yellow, turquoise). I found a mobile on Etsy that I like - still deciding if it's "the one" or not.

It's hard knowing that we are having a girl and not going crazy buying cute girl clothes. Especially since it's spring and all the outfits out right now are adorable, bright, ruffly, and simply hard to resist! But, we are being good (sometimes, wink).

Overall we are enjoying this phase of the pregnancy and so thankful that our little girl will be here in a few short months. As we reflect on Holy week this week - we are thankful that Jesus died on the cross for our sins and how exciting it is that we can live eternally with Him after this life on Earth is over. I can't wait for our baby girl to understand His goodness to us!

Happy Easter everyone!
