Summer Recap -2014

I have not been good at blogging this summer. Or should I say, I didn't make time for blogging purposefully. I love blogging and putting updates and picture here for friends and family to read, but this summer I just wanted to focus on living IN SUMMER.  If you live in Minnesota-you get it.  We had the cruelest of winters and this summer has been glorious.  Not too hot, not tons of rain, just perfect 80 degree days, the kind we live for.

I made a list of fun possibilities to do this summer.  I was pretty proud that we did about 3/4 of them! This summer there were tons of walks, tons of trips to the beach, hundreds of hours spent at the park, pool time, water table time, time at the zoo.  Peter went to the Boundary Waters with friends, we made a 4th of July trip to Chicago, we ate outside as much as we could.  Elora took ballet, we had VBS. We went to the arboretum and ate a lot of ice cream.  Elora ate her first smores and we enjoyed corn on the cob. There were grubby hands from dirt and sidewalk chalk and it was wonderful.
