We headed to Chicago for the 4th of July holiday weekend. The trip really was not about celebrating the holiday and more about meeting our adorable new nephew for the first time! Evan James was born on June 28 and is a tiny little bundle of blonde adorablensss.
The weekend consisted of oohing and ahhing over my sister's kids, park time, visiting some family friends who have chickens (fun for the kids!), church, naps, newborn photos of Evan, and eating meals together. Peter and I prepared a 4th of July BBQ dinner as a little way of celebrating the holiday.
