Elora - 8 Months!

On January 10, Elora will be 8 months old! Here are 8 updates about how she is doing and what she is up to!

1. She ate her first bit of solid foods this last week!  She didn't make as many funny faces as we expected.  However, she was a bit unsure about the spoon and whole concept. We'll keep trying!

2. She weights 10 lb, 12 oz as of her last weight check on 1/4/12

3. She loves to play!  She holds, plays with, and chews on toys all day long. I need to bring toys with when we leave the house so that she can play with them in the car, etc.

4. She is sleeping a very solid 11-12 hours at night and takes 2-3 naps per day (typically ranging from 45 min to 1.5 hrs each)

5. She is starting to roll over. She has yet to roll all the way over - but she gets onto her sides.

6. Her hair is growing and is filling out a little in back where the classic bald spot is. The color is slowly turning from a dark brown to a more sandy blonde.

7. She has always been a kicker (and still is!), but now she is starting to move more and more.  She can pivot herself in all directions. Lately we have found her in different spots in the crib when she wakes up verses where she was when we layed her down :)

8. Her health is AWESOME. Other than growing slowly, she has yet to be sick other than a few days of a runny nose a few weeks ago. She has NO issues with her eyes, digestive system, hearing, movement, or general development for this age.  Wahoo!

We are so proud of our little 8 month old and cherish each and every day we have spent with her!

Elora's first visit to Starbucks - a very proud moment for her coffee loving parents.
She even got her bottle heated in a Starbucks cup :)

Elora's first solid food tasting - bananas
