This morning was Elora's weekly visit from the nurse (which included a shot - no fun!). Each visit includes a weight check. Today we found out she hit TEN POUNDS! Something about reaching double digits seems monumental and we are just so proud of our growing little girl!
This week is a big week. They are taking her off of the oxygen for a night to see how she does. She will be hooked up to a monitor that will alarm if there is any problems. Also, the monitor has a devise which will record her blood oxygen level throughout the night. That recording gets sent to her pulmonologist to review. When we meet with him next week (Dec 16) we will find out if she can be taken off oxygen all together. Crossing our fingers!
Other than that - there is nothing else going on medically. She is growing (slowly but surely) and becoming SO ACTIVE. She can roll on her sides, laugh, babble, reach for toys (and mommy's hair!), hold her head up for a few minutes at a time, and she is always kicking her legs..always!
Here are a few pictures I took today to commemorate her big 10 pound day!!
