Where has the time gone? Elora turned 14 months last week and is doing so many new things. She is in full motion and NEVER STOPS. Although she has become a hand full - it's so fun to see the things she is doing and how rapidly things are "clicking" for her now.
What is Elora doing at 14 months?:
Movement - She is rolling, crawling, and starting to pull herself up to standing position. We are now having to baby proof the house!
Language - She is really starting to understand words we are saying. She is in a prime spot for learning baby sign language. Although we really should be teaching her helpful things (done, more, please, thank you), we have taught her "Pat your Belly" <she pats belly>, "hi" and "bye" <she waves>, "hold on" <she grips the handles of the shopping cart or her scooter>, "get mad" <she clenches her fists and says "arrggggg" and shakes>, etc. I am pretty sure she knows her name now as well.
Playing - Elora still loves books and they are her favorite toy. However, she has started to play with stuffed animals (never has paid attention to them before) and some toys that involve more motor skills. She still loves peek-a-boo ("peek" as we call it in our family).
Eating - We still can't get Elora to eat anything that isn't milk or pureed. So, she gets lots of pureed fruits/veggies and yogurt to eat. She is drinking a combo of preemie formula and whole milk. She did however, just start using the netted gadget where we can put slices of fruit/veggies in there and she enjoys chewing on that and enjoying the juices. It's been a great first "self feed" tool for us.
Weight: Last week she was at the doctor and weighed in at 15 lbs 14 oz.
Teeth: She has two teeth on the bottom that are fully through. Currently 4 (or more?) are coming in on the top ... one fang tooth is about 1/2 way through. Poor girl has had a rough time with teething and so tylonol has become a good friend.
Sleep - Little girl still sleeps through the night like a champ - typically 12 hours. Naps are still inconsistent. Typically she still takes 2 short naps a day, but occasionally will take one longer one.
Below are some pics of Elora at 14 months!

She is such a cutie! Love her smile!
